How long do they last?

Mink extensions usually last up to 6-8 weeks, with proper care and application. (For more information on how to care for your extensions please scroll down and read the article "How to properly care for your Luxury Lashes" for this article can be used on your mink strips as well as on your extensions) Since each mink extension is attached to a single natural eyelash, they often fall out naturally along with the growth cycle of each natural lash. For a fuller look it is highly recommended to get them re-touched every 2-3 weeks  because each person’s natural lash growth is somewhat different.  

Can they get wet?

Now a question you may be asking yourself is "How will i shower? How will i wash my face? Can i go swimming?" its highly recommended to keep water away from your lashes for the first 12 to 24 hours after application or touch-ups. Due to the fact that water can possibly weaken the adhesive before it is set and cause lashes to fall off.

Can lash extension cause damage your natural lashes?

The biggest question thats been floating around for years is "can lash extensions ruin your own natural lashes?" Well good news! No, They do not. If applied correctly they are 100% safe and do not ruin the health of your natural lashes.BUT be sure not to rub your eyes or tug or pull on the extensions because this can cause lash loss and even damage to your natural lashes. If lashes are applied properly and to each individual natural lash, they won’t fall out.

What is used for mink extensions?

What is used during the process of applying your extensions is of course, Mink Individual Lashes (sizes may range from 6mm to 17mm) Once a size is selected, the mink lash is applied one by one on to a individual natural eyelash using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue (Please never hesitate to let our lash technician know if you have any allergies to any products they are using) that will not irritate the eye nor damage the natural lash. However, since allergic reactions are possible, there are different types of glue based on one’s sensitivity. (Please request this prior to your appointment so we can accommodate your needs for your selected date) For instance, with glue for sensitive eyes, oil-based products or makeup removers around the eye area are not recommended. 

Is it safe to wear mascara over your extensions?

If you would like to wear mascara on top of your extensions, ONLY use it on the tips of the extensions and with a very light hand. Even though you use very little product this will be enough to give your eyes that extra “pop” with your extensions. Using mascara at the base of the extensions will get very clumpy and is not sanitary for your eyes and can cause damage to the natural lashes. Using water-proof mascara on the extensions is not recommended for any type of glue, as it is hard to remove and can actually pull off the lashes when trying to take it off.
